Choosing the Right Resin Driveway Installation Approach in Hampshire

Choosing the Right Resin Driveway Installation Approach in Hampshire

Every Hampshire driveway is a different installation job

No two Hampshire driveways install the same way. Slope, the existing surface, manhole positions and access all change the plan our crews use before any resin goes down.

Example: 19m² Buff resin-bound driveway laid around two manhole covers, Waterlooville (PO7), completed in a single day.

We have grouped our Hampshire installation advice into two areas: how the resin-bound process itself works over different existing surfaces, and how we handle awkward sites — slopes, narrow plots, drainage channels, edging, manholes, terraced housing, double-width drives and new builds. Browse the full installation & scenarios hub for the guide that matches your driveway.

What changes the installation plan

The biggest factors are what is already there (tarmac, block paving, bare concrete or soil) and the site’s fall. A sound, well-drained base can often be overlaid directly, while a cracked or poorly-drained surface needs proper sub-base work first so the finish stays flat and SuDS-compliant.

When to get a site visit instead of a phone quote

Any driveway with a slope over roughly 1 in 15, manhole covers in the running surface, or a narrow access for machinery is worth a site visit before we price it. It lets us confirm drainage falls, edging detail and any recessed tray covers before the day itself.

What a written quote should include

A proper Hampshire quote should state base preparation, edging type, expected cure times for foot and vehicle traffic, and our 10-year guarantee in writing — not just a headline £/m² figure.

Quick answers

Can resin go over an existing driveway?

Often yes, provided the base is sound and drains well — our installation and over-tarmac/over-block-paving guides cover the checks we run first.

Do sloped or narrow driveways cost more?

Usually a modest amount, mainly for extra edging and drainage detailing rather than the resin itself.

How soon can I park on a new resin driveway?

Typically foot traffic after 4-6 hours and vehicles after 24 hours, weather depending.
